ABOUT
DAMAC Properties is a privately owned Dubai developer founded in 2002 by Hussain Sajwani, who remains its chairman. It builds master-planned villa and townhouse communities in Dubailand alongside apartment towers, many of them branded through design or hospitality partners. The company was listed on the Dubai Financial Market until 2022, when Sajwani took it private. According to the developer, it has delivered around 50,000 homes since 2002 and had more than 54,000 under construction as of January 2026.
Its largest communities are DAMAC Hills, built around the Trump International Golf Club Dubai; DAMAC Hills 2, originally launched as Akoya Oxygen; and DAMAC Lagoons, a villa and townhouse community arranged around lagoon-themed clusters. DAMAC Islands, launched in 2024, and DAMAC Islands 2, launched in November 2025, are further villa and townhouse masterplans in the Al Yalayis area of Dubailand. Tower projects include Safa One and Safa Two with Swiss jeweller de GRISOGONO, Cavalli Tower, DAMAC Towers by Paramount and Chelsea Residences in Dubai Maritime City.
Most new DAMAC homes are sold off-plan on staged payment plans. Before paying a deposit, check the project's registration with the Dubai Land Department, the escrow account details and construction progress, and read the sale and purchase agreement for the handover date and any late-delivery terms.
